Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information PercentBase does and does not collect when you use this website. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.

The short version

• We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect names, addresses or phone numbers.
• The numbers you type into the calculators never leave your browser.
• Advertising partners may set cookies, and you can control those.

Calculator data

Every calculation on this site is performed by JavaScript running inside your own browser. The values you enter are not transmitted to us, are not written to any server, and are not visible to us in any form. When you close the tab, they are gone.

Browser storage

The site uses your browser's local storage for two small conveniences:

• Theme preference — so the site reopens in light or dark mode as you left it.
• Recent calculations — a short list of your most recent results, shown under the calculator.

Both are stored only on your device and are never sent anywhere. You can remove the calculation history at any time with the Clear button, and clearing your browser's site data removes both.

Shareable links

The Copy link button builds a web address containing the numbers you entered, so the calculation can be reopened elsewhere. That link is assembled in your browser and placed on your clipboard. Nothing is uploaded, and we never see it. Bear in mind that if you send such a link to someone, the numbers in it are visible to them.

Server logs

Like most websites, this site is served by a web host that keeps standard access logs. These typically record the page requested, the time, the browser type and an IP address, and are used for security and to keep the site running. We do not use them to build profiles of individual visitors.

Advertising and cookies

This site carries advertising, which is how it stays free. Advertising partners, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visits to this site and other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Your browser's own settings also let you block or delete cookies. Doing so will not affect the calculators, which do not depend on them.

Analytics

If analytics software is used on this site, it is configured to report aggregate traffic patterns — which pages are popular, roughly where visitors come from — and not to identify individuals.

External links

Some pages link to other websites. Once you follow such a link, you are covered by that site's privacy policy rather than this one, and we have no control over how they handle your data.

Children

This site is a general-purpose calculator and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Your choices

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no account to close and no personal profile to request or erase. You remain in control of your browser storage and your cookie settings at all times.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes will be noted clearly rather than slipped in.
